Route Map Alternative
You may prefer not to use the Route Map to find relevant information. If so, there is an alternative method of navigating the Regulations. At any time on the route map pages you can select the List View, which presents the same information in a list.

Access Keys
Access keys provide keyboard shortcuts. They provide an alternative form of navigation.
The following are the recommended UK Government access keys standard:

9 – Feedback form
0 – Accessibility
To use the access key the user has to:
- Press the ‘Alt key’ and the access key with Windows-based systems, and
- Press the ‘Ctrl key’ and the access key with the Macintosh system.
Standards compliance
All pages on the website are Bobby A approved, complying with all priority 1 guidelines of the W3 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
All pages of the website conform strictly to XHTML1.0
Links
- Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article).
- Whenever possible, links are written to make sense out of context. Many browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx, and Opera) can extract the list of links on a page and allow the user to browse the list, separately from the page.
- Link text is never duplicated; two links with the same link text always point to the same address.
- There are no "javascript:" pseudo-links. All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off.
- There are no links that open new windows without warning.
Images
All content images used in the home page and all archives include descriptive ALT attributes Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes. The Route Map graphics use ALT tags to reflect the station name.
Visual design
- This site and all its pages use cascading style sheets for visual layout.
- Internet Explorer has a limited text resizing feature ("View" menu, "Text Size"), but this only works with relative font sizes. A special style sheet that uses relative font sizes is automatically served to visitors using Internet Explorer.
- If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
- The page structure has been laid out by using CSS positioning. Tables where used are reserved for tabular data only and feature the correct HTML markup.
